We strongly recommend that participants take out adequate medical, travel and personal insurance before travelling.

In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the conference organisers accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by participants.
The wearing of identification badges is mandatory and will be required for admission to all sessions and conference social functions. 
Smoking is not allowed in National University of Singapore and its compounds including any area within five metres of the compound. Participants should be aware that smoking is not allowed in buildings or public service vehicles except if you are within indoor smoking rooms and uncovered areas of multi-storey carparks.

  1. How do I purchase tickets for the conference?
    To purchase tickets for the conference, please visit our ticket sales page on our website. Click on the “Register” button and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
  2. Can I purchase tickets on-site at the conference venue?
    No, we encourage all participants to purchase their tickets in advance through our ticket sales page. This helps us ensure a smooth check-in process and guarantees your spot at the conference.
  3. What payment methods are accepted for ticket purchases?
    We accept various payment methods, including credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, and online payment platforms such as PayNow. The available payment options will be displayed during the checkout process.
  4. Are there any discounts available for group ticket purchases?
    Please refer to the ticketing site for available group discounts or special rates for ticket purchases.
  5. Can I bring a guest or family member to the conference?
    Our conferences are open to registered participants only.
  6. Will there be an extension to the registration date?
    No, the Early Bird Registration will close on 31 July, and the Standard Registration will close on 1 Nov.
  7. Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend the conference?
    Please refer to our refund policy on the ticket sales page or contact our support (ask@apssa.co) for more information. Cancellations must be advised in writing to the conference organiser.
    Registration cancellations received by 5 pm (SGT Time) on 2 Nov 2024 will receive a refund of registration fees, less an administrative charge of SGD 100.
    Cancellations received after 5pm (SGT Time) on 2 Nov 2024 will not be eligible for a refund.
    Registrations are transferable to a colleague at least 3 working days prior to the event provided the APSSA 2024 conference organiser is advised in writing and transferee has accepted the Terms and Conditions
  8. How will I receive my conference tickets?
    After completing your ticket purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with your digital ticket(s) attached. Please ensure that you provide a valid email address during the checkout process. You can either print the ticket(s) or show the digital version on your mobile device at the conference registration desk.
  1. How can I receive updates and important announcements about the conference?
    We will keep you informed about conference updates and important announcements through email. Please ensure that the email address you provided during the ticket purchase process is correct and regularly check your inbox and spam/junk folders for any communications from us. Additionally, you can follow our official social media channels for updates and engage in discussions with fellow participants.
  2. Can I request special accommodations for accessibility needs?
    Yes, we strive to make our conferences accessible to all participants. If you require any special accommodations, such as wheelchair accessibility, sign language interpretation, materials in alternative formats etc please contact our support (ask@apssa.co) before any payment so that we can confirm what arrangements can be made to support you.
  3. How can I request for a Letter of Invitation for visa or related application?
    Individuals requiring a letter of invitation to obtain travel visas or other official purposes can complete this online Request Form and submit to our Conference Secretariats. Please note that terms and conditions apply.

    Seating arrangements may vary depending on the conference format. Some sessions may have assigned seating, while others may be open seating or first-come, first-served. The conference program or agenda will provide more details on the seating arrangements for each session.

  2. Is there a dress code for the conference?

    There is usually no strict dress code for our conferences. However, we recommend dressing comfortably and appropriately for a professional setting. Business casual attire is commonly preferred.

  3. Will there be Wi-Fi available at the conference venue?

    Yes, we strive to provide Wi-Fi access for conference participants within NUS. We recommend bringing your own internet connectivity options if reliable Wi-Fi is crucial for your participation.

  4. Will meals be provided during the conference?

    We will provide three lunches, two teas and one networking evening reception will be provided. Please refer to the conference agenda.
    Will there be any networking opportunities during the conference?
    Yes, our conferences typically include various networking opportunities, such as coffee breaks, Networking Conference Dinner, and pre and post conference events. Please refer to the conference agenda for more details.

  5. Will the conference sessions be recorded and made available to participants?

    No, however, we will strive to provide presentation slides to participants.

  6. Will there be parking available at the conference venue?

    Parking is available. Please refer to the conference website or contact the organisers for information regarding parking options, including any associated fees and alternative transportation recommendations.

  1. Can I receive a certificate of attendance or participation?
    Yes, we will provide certificates of attendance on the last day of the conference. Please visit the conference registration desk on 20 Nov 2024 to request a certificate.
  2. How can I submit feedback or suggestions regarding the conference?
    We highly value participant feedback and suggestions. You can provide feedback through online surveys that may be sent after the conference or by contacting our support (ask@apssa.co) Your input helps us improve future conferences and enhance the overall participant experience.

Collection of personal information and privacy

 

(a) We will be collecting, using and/or disclosing Your personal data in any form and to disclose the same to third parties (including any third party located outside of Singapore) in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore) and all subsidiary legislation for the purpose of the Conference, subsequent registration to and all other actions necessary in relation to the Conference.

 

(b) We and/or others on behalf of Us and third parties may be taking photographs and videos during the Conference. We may use such photos for the purpose of marketing, publicity, and media/social media, we may identify attendees by name in such media and/or share these with third parties.

We collect your personal information (and, if you are to be accompanied by a third party, their personal information) when you submit a registration or application form to us via this website, to indicate your wish to participate in the conference.

(i) We collect names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses for contact and identification purposes.
(ii) If you are attending the conference, we collect your personal information so that we can properly register you and accept your payments, facilitate your entry to the venue(s) and functions and conference sessions, and to arrange for various services to be provided to you, such as transport, recreation, food and beverage.
(iii) If you are participating in the conference as an exhibitor, speaker or presenter, we may collect your personal information so that we can manage your participation and presence, the supply of your inputs to the conference and manage the delivery of your benefits and entitlements.

(b) Health and other sensitive information: 
(i) In some cases, we may collect health information, where that may be relevant to the supply of food and beverage at events we manage, such as if you have special dietary needs.
(ii) In some cases, we may also collect information concerning your religious, ethnic or philosophical background or allegiance, where that is relevant to food and beverage supplied at the conference/event, or relevant to other aspects of cultural sensitivity.
(iii) We also collect information concerning your membership of a professional or trade association.
